Elizabeth Rockett

I started writing magazine articles and poems and got published. Then I started a book which a professor of film insisted would make such a great movie that he and a cinematography director insisted I write the movie instead. That put me on the path to sceenwriting. I moved to Los Angeles and studied fervently as movie writing is a different way of writing than novelistic writing, studying at UCLA Writer’s Extention, took TV writing courses, producer and director courses at Raindance and many other seminars and a reader of many books on the subject that re-iterated what I was learning and writng, and in the meantime wrote a few movie scripts and two TV pilots that scored top 5% in Hollywood screenwriting contests, got me a movie agent, but money dried up during the recession, so I am now finishing that book and continue the search for producing the movies.
